We come to the highpoint of Jacob’s faith struggles. Here we see the mystery of his wrestling with the Angel of the Lord. We need to see the connection between his prayer of faith and his wrestling with the Angel. There is mystery here. God condescends to come to Jacob and to be prevailed by him. This passage encourages us in our faith struggles. And it also points us to our savior in more ways than one. The text is Genesis 32. We will consider these points:
