The Secret and Surprising Power of the Kingdom is Revealed

We have seen that the kingdom of heaven on earth will always involve conflict. The great separation will not happen until Jesus returns. Therefore, it might be easy to have a pessimistic view of the kingdom on earth and to be discouraged thinking that we are fighting a losing battle. In order to combat this temptation, Jesus gives these parables that reveal a surprising end. We have no reason to be discouraged when Jesus is at work through his word and Spirit.

2. The kingdom continues to grow with a secret hidden power.
3. This truth is revealed to us who believe.
4. So that we might be encouraged to live and serve faithfully.
