After considering the parable in Luke 18 and the encouragement to continue in prayer and not give up, we will end up our series on prayer, considering the power of prayer. In our text, Jesus makes some rather wonderful and almost unbelievable promises regarding prayer. This promise is sometimes misused and twisted. But it is also often neglected and explained away. The text is John 14:12-14. We will consider these three points from the text: the great promise Jesus gives, the reason for it, and the means through which it will happen.
