A healthy Christian church is not a self-sufficient church, but a church that looks to the Lord for grace and seeks to be faithful in fulfilling his Great Commission. In our text, Paul continues his personal address to the church in Rome. He speaks of his missionary plans and makes an appeal to the church to share with him in his zeal. We will consider how this passage challenges us at Harvest. Our text is Romans 15:22-33. We will consider these four points:
- Paul’s missionary plan and vision. (vv. 23-24)
- Paul’s present service to the saints in Jerusalem. (vv. 25-27)
- Paul’s hope and appeal to the Roman church. (vv. 30-33)
- Application to us.
