The Glory of the Covenant Seen in the Mediator

As we work through Exodus, we continue to see the glory of God revealed in the covenant at Mt Sinai. In 2 Corinthians that covenant is compared to the new covenant in Christ, where Paul makes specific reverence to our passage in Exodus. We will be reading both these texts: Exodus 34:29-35 and 2 Corinthians 3.  The message is entitled: The Glory of the Covenant Seen in the Mediator. We will consider these five points:

  1.  The reflected glory of God in Moses’ face.
  2.  The purpose of the veil.
  3.  The transient nature of the old covenant.
  4.  The surpassing glory of the new covenant in Christ.
  5.  Application for our faith.
