As we work through Exodus, we continue to see the glory of God revealed in the covenant at Mt Sinai. In 2 Corinthians that covenant is compared to the new covenant in Christ, where Paul makes specific reverence to our passage in Exodus. We will be reading both these texts: Exodus 34:29-35 and 2 Corinthians 3. The message is entitled: The Glory of the Covenant Seen in the Mediator. We will consider these five points:
- The reflected glory of God in Moses’ face.
- The purpose of the veil.
- The transient nature of the old covenant.
- The surpassing glory of the new covenant in Christ.
- Application for our faith.
