We return to our study of Ephesians. Our text is Eph 2:1-10. This passage describes what the Bible calls the first resurrection (See Ezekiel 37:1-10, John 5:25-29, Rev 20:4-6). This resurrection is a spiritual resurrection which only God can do. We will consider these 6 points:
- The natural condition of all sinners. (vv. 1-3)
- The efficient cause of the resurrection. (vv. 4-5)
- The spiritual resurrection is “in Christ.” (vv. 5-6)
- God’s great goal in this. (v. 7)
- The conclusion of the matter. (vv. 8-10)
- Implications for us today.
