We continue in part two of the book of Leviticus which gives distinctions concerning ritual holiness. This passage presents us with the dietary laws of Israel. Though these laws have been abrogated in Christ, we will consider the distinctions made and consider the lessons we are to learn as believers in Christ today. The text is Leviticus 11. We will consider these four points:
- The distinction of clean and unclean animals. (vv. 1-23)
- Pollution by animals and its treatment. (vv. 24-47)
- The purpose and meaning of these laws.
- The fulfillment in Christ.
