We will be looking at Romans 13:1-7. Paul lays out for us the responsibility of Christian toward human government. We will look at the clear teaching of this passage as well as the complementary texts that address this issue. We will also consider the importance of this passage in light of the gospel and the Christian confidence and hope. We will consider these four points:
- The General Rule (5thcommandment application). (v. 1)
- The Divine Purpose of Human Government. ( vv. 2-4)
- Further Exhortation to Submission. (vv. 5-7)
- Gospel Encouragement and Application.
