We begin the third book of the five books of Moses. Leviticus is one of the most neglected books of the Old Testament, yet it is the most significant book of the Pentateuch. To neglect this book is to belittle the need of Christ and the significance of all that Christ has accomplished for us. This is an introduction to the book. We will consider the big picture and these three points:
- Context and theme
- The divisions of the book (the “story” of the narrative)
- The end goal and the fulfillment in Christ for us
