We come to the final chapter in Jonah. Each chapter in Jonah becomes more amazing as we go. This final chapter exposes the sinful attitude of Jonah as he waits for judgment to fall on Nineveh. Here we see God’s patience as he corrects and instructs his prophet. We are encouraged to consider our own petty concerns in the light of the revelation of God’s great mercy and sovereign plan. What is our expectant hope? How shall we answer the question the chapter leaves us with?
