You’ll find Orthodox Presbyterian churches of many sizes in many communities throughout North America. All are called to demonstrate the love of God and the relevance of Christ’s message of deliverance to a society that is weary of sin, hollow materialism, and shattered relationships.
Our denomination was formed in the 1930s by a number of former Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) ministers, who were unwilling to continue along with their denomination’s increasingly rapid drift away from the authority of Scripture and the core doctrines of historic Protestant Christianity.
Today, the OPC strives to preach the good news of Christ’s death and resurrection for the sins of a lost and fallen people, and to preserve the straight teaching of our faith’s essential doctrines. It is from this idea that the name “Orthodox” derives — literally meaning, “straight teaching,” or “right belief.”
We invite you to join us for worship or continue browsing our website to find out more about our beliefs, history, and mission, both as a denomination and as a local church.
